This book deals with the pen portraits of most illustrious lawyers and Chief Justices of India of recent times. It deals with the author`s personal interaction with them over the several years he spend in the Supreme Court. Men such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Motilal Setalvad, C.K. Daphtary, M.C. Chagla, N.C. Chatterjee, Vishwanatha Sastri, A.S.R. Chari and Narsa Raju. This book also includes the pen sketches of distinguished Chief Justices of India lke P.B. Gajendragadkar, A.K. Sarkar, K. But this book becomes all the more significant as it deals with the most eminent professors of international law like Quincy Wright, P.E. Corbett, Julius Stone and Sir Elihu Lauterpacht with whom the author had the privilege of working in close proximity.. In addition to the pen sketches, the book is augmented by the author`s own writings. Significant among the articles are his pieces on the Mcmohan line, legal status of Kuwait, ministerial responsibility, the need for urgent constitutional amendment for national integration and development and water resources and constitutional law. He has outlined a scheme for the setting up of a global university for world law and world peace, like of which does not exist anywhere in the world. Perhaps the striking aspect of the book is that it deals with the author`s personal Experiences with the rare God men of India including a fairly long pen sketch of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba at whose divine feet the author spent half a dozen of his lat years, thus making his book one of ethical and spiritual significance apart from its legal and jurisdical content as the centurion saintly late judge, Mr. Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer points out in his most touching foreword to the author`s book.
