Gaythri Raman - Managing Director, India & Southeast Asia

Gaythri Raman is the Managing Director of LexisNexis India and Southeast Asia. She is responsible for the adoption of online solutions for the litigation, corporate and government segments across Southeast Asia. She is a strong advocate for the transformation of legal business by leveraging legal innovations to make meaningful impact. Her vision has led the way in the legal industry in Southeast Asia. Gaythri’s appreciation for the rule of law and its significance in empowering individuals and improving access to justice has been a driving force throughout her career. She believes that technology can be the powerful enabler to advance the rule of law by enhancing legal literacy and improving transparency of the law.

With nearly 10 years of experience in continuously advancing the Rule of Law, her key projects include partnering with Aung San Suu Kyi, Chair of the Parliamentary Rule of Law Committee, the United Nations, UNDO, UN Global Impact, the Attorney General’s office various Bar Associations across the world to reform laws and government in support of the country’s democratisation process. building Myanmar’s civil law structures post-market liberalisation Myanmar, supporting the Myanmar Supreme Court with judgement writing, digitisation of archived court records and publication of commercial cases online, and partnering with the Supreme Court of Maldives to consolidate and report commercial cases from 2008 to 2014 with a citation system.

Gaythri is an influential leader and has now dedicated much of her careers in inspiring and supporting her team and partners to push the boundaries of what is possible when the rule of law and technology intersect.
